Sesame Street adapted for West Germany as Sesamstrasse
In Bonn, Germany, Sesame Street becomes Sesamstrasse with 30 percent new material produced in Germany and the rest dubbed from the U S show. The German version uses Bavarian names, weighs in with locally shot scenes, and adds social behavior lessons while toning jazz rhythms and adjusting content for German preschoolers.
