Fatal accident on Middle Ave spurs grand jury review
Arthur A. Foster 41 of 233 East Fourth Street died after being struck by a car driven by Bertha Philpott 426 Cleveland Street at Middle Avenue and Fourth Street around 10:49 a.m. Police say Foster stepped into the street from between parked cars and was dragged about 30 feet. Philpott said she traveled about 15 mph. The Lotain County Grand Jury will be asked to investigate the death though no charges were filed. Foster moved to Elyria with his wife and two children and worked as chief clerk for the New York Central Railroad. He is survived by Zoe Mae and two daughters. Funeral services set for Tuesday in Elyria and Elkhart, Ind.

Train Robbery on Northwestern Commuter Line at Irving Park
Two men held up 30 passengers on a Northwestern train at Irving Park today and stole 6000 from a bank messenger, Miss Marcella Bergman, as the train neared Avondale station. She carried 5000 in checks and 1000 in cash to the Edison Park State and Savings Bank. The robbers fled in a car with an accomplice after shouting Hands up this is a holdup. None of the other passengers were harmed.

Two Injured In Auto Accident Near Oberlin
Henry Moore and Helen Kane of Oberlin suffered head and facial injuries when a car driven by Walter Champ collided with a truck driven by A F Wessin of Detroit on the Oberlin road five miles west of town.
