Elyria to House Major Part in Neig Program
Elyria is expected to serve as the headquarters for much of the work of a division of President Hoover's White House Conference on Child Health and Protection. Harry H. Howett, executive secretary of the International Society for Crippled Children, said a trained statistician will be placed in Elyria to support the conference effort and that funds will be pooled with Miss Jane ONeil's Chicago committee to avoid duplication. The conference, to be held at the White House in November with about 2000 invited guests, aims to report on research and recommendations for child health and protection.
