Western Reserve principal named administrator of the year
Western Reserve High School Principal Tom Lehman was named Administrator of the Year by the Ohio Association of Student Councils. The selection followed his seven years as Amherst Steele High School assistant principal and student council adviser. He'll receive the award April 28 at the State Student Council Conference in Fort Jennings. Lehman is in his 25th year in education and resides in Vermilion with his family.

Local band advances to Rock Off finals at Rock Hall
Elephant in the Living Room, a band with Westlake High School and Bay Village High School juniors, reached the final round of the lth annual Mountain Dew MDX High School Rock Off. The final is Jan 27 at the Rock Hall in Cleveland with doors at 3 p.m. Tickets are $12 at the door.

Lorain Man Rammed Truck Then Attacked Driver
A 25 year old Lorain man, Demarea L. Stafford, allegedly rammed his 1998 Oldsmobile Aurora into a truck in a parking lot at the Diamond Men’s Club on Lorain Road around 2:30 a.m. He then struck the truck driver with a beer bottle and fled. Police arrested him later, charging felonious assault, obstructing official business, resisting arrest, reckless operation, driving under suspension and leaving the scene of an accident.
