Suspect in Portage shooting pleads not guilty to multiple charges
Coreno, 59, of Maple Heights, faces attempted murder, conspiracy and felonious assault counts after allegedly shooting Bridges, 73, at 36513 Chestnut Ridge Road on July 9. Bridges confronted Coreno in the garage armed with a stun gun and handgun. Amore, involved in the case as a related victim, was hospitalized with Bridges and later provided statements. Coreno hid in the home for seven hours before surrendering. Amore is cooperating and free on bond while Coreno remains jailed.
