Navy launch capsizes in Barcelona harbor killing 20
A 56 foot Navy launch carrying sailors and Marines from weekend leave collided with a Spanish freighter Urlea and overturned in Barcelona harbor around 2 am. Twenty American service members were killed and nineteen others hospitalized, six in serious condition. Dozens were trapped before tugboats righted the craft. Victims identities not yet disclosed pending next of kin notices.

Firemen watch frostbound pumps fail as home burns
