Kipton The Missionary Society of the Camden Baptist Church will hold a meeting at the home of Mrs Darwin Mahne Sharp. Members will tie a quilt and sew for a church cover and electric missions project. The session is set for Wednesday.
Columbia Booster Club schedules a general meeting for Wednesday at 8 p.m. in the Columbia Elementary School cafe. Plans for a St. Patrick’s Day event on March 17 will be discussed. A women’s meeting is set for January 24 at 8 p.m. at Mrs. David Osborne’s home. A recent school membership drive, led by the National Honor Society with Dave Williams as chairman, crowned top sellers Dave Williams and Judy Brooks with $10 and $5 prizes at the last home basketball game.
Clarksfield Subordinate Grange held a New Year candle ceremony at Community Hall with Worthy Master Leroy Stober presiding. Members approved exemplifying the second degree on inspection night and noted thanks cards and Christmas boxes from local residents.
The Durling Elementary School PTA voted to donate 50 dollars to the Clearview High School Scholarship Fund. Jan 28 was set for the next immunization clinic at the school. Members thanked for vision testing assistance included Mrs. John Wozmiak Mrs. Alfred Zimmerman Mrs. Earl Moore and Mrs. Gene Horton. Vincent Glorioso spoke on child welfare. refreshments were served by Mrs. Louis Muka and her committee.
Medina County VFW Auxiliary council will hold its January meeting tomorrow at 8 p.m. at Valley City VFW Post 3563. Mrs. Virginia Casenheiser will conduct the business meeting. Reports on Crile Veterans Hospital paraplegic patient parties will be given by Mrs. Arlene Grm. Final council membership contest results, ending December 31, will be presented by Mrs. Jean Fetzer.
The Women's Guild of the United Church of Christ in Valley City elected officers: Etta Latleman president Maynard Dellifield vice president Martha Dellifield secretary Bernard Krysik treasurer with new members Carl Keighley and Alice Wilcox. Program themes covered Parents and Youth Code and The New Year.
Valley City Township trustees reorganized with Robert Steingass elected president and Walter Wolf named vice president. Charles Stout fre chief and Robert Yost as assistant fire chief were reappointed Earl Arnold rehired as township building custodian. Warren Dunkle appointed zoning inspector effective Jan 1. Applications available 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily except Sundays at Valley City Hardware. Trustees meet again tomorrow at 8 p.m. in the county building.
