A total of 4 366 claimants filed for state jobless benefits in Lorain County last week. The Ohio Bureau of Unemployment Compensation reported 1 299 continued regular claims in Elyria and 1 123 in Lorain, with 227 initial claims in Elyria and 353 in Lorain.
