Hubble time lapse photo reveals unseen distant galaxies
In a 10 day exposure near the Big Dipper, the Hubble Space Telescope captured light from about 1900 galaxies, many unseen before. Scientists like Robert Williams and Mark Dickinson say the find could push back to near the universe’s dawn, with galaxies in various shapes and stages of formation. The data, released to the public domain, aims to unravel how galaxies formed and evolved.
