Ridgeville sewer rates explained to residents
North Ridgeville officials explain the sewer rate increase implemented four months ago. The new structure charges a base $1.62 plus $1.68 per 100 cubic feet of water treated, replacing the old flat $7.70 rate. Average monthly bill at 1000 cubic feet is about $18.42, with higher usage triggering bigger charges. Residents are urged to check for leaks, fix wasteful usage, install meters if needed, and coordinate large water use with the utilities department to avoid being billed for water not entering the sewer system.
