At the Lorain Board of Education annual organizational meeting Tim Williams became president succeeding Tony Cimacchia. Williams, Cimacchia, and Sturgill supported Williams, with Fallis and Smith backing Smith for president. Sturgill was elected vice president over Cimacchia and Williams. The board set meetings for the second and fourth Thursdays at 6 30 p m and moved public comment to the start and end of sessions with a three minute limit.

Vermilion River body found. coroner cites gun wound
Vermilion-Lorain County Metro Parks rangers located a 59 year old man at the Vermilion River Reservation around 9:30 a.m. Thursday. Coroner Dr Stephen Evans identified Bruce Lyle of Rocky River as the deceased, noting a self-inflicted gunshot as the apparent cause.
