Ohio regulators require Duke Energy Ohio to cover Ike storm costs
The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio approved about 14.1 million dollars of Duke Energy Ohio repair costs from the 2008 Hurricane Ike windstorm. The average residential customer will pay 35 cents a month for three years, totaling roughly 12.60 each. Duke argued costs were appropriate but regulators excluded overtime and contractor charges, with Duke to seek rehearing within 30 days.
