Wholesale prices rise 0.8 percent in December
UPI report shows December wholesale prices up 0.8 percent, pushing the full year rise to 9.1 percent the largest since 1974. Food costs climbed 0.9 percent in December with beef veal poultry and produce up, while nonfood items also advanced. Gasoline heating oil textiles furnishings and drugs posted substantial increases.
