Avon Lake Extends Parent Teacher Conferences to Kindergarten
Avon Lake will extend conferences to include kindergarten. Miss Janet Mihok said the program aims to improve understanding of each child’s development. Conferences run over four weeks with separate afternoon and morning slots and 15 minute sessions starting at 3 p.m. with early dismissal on conference days. Babysitting will be available.

American Legion Post 12 hosts a ward party in the neuropsychiatric unit of the Veterans Administration Hospital assisted by the local Red Cross Chapter. The Musicians Union No 4 provided music for dancing with Crile Hostess Club and Elyna Red Cross as hosts. Red Cross Canteen workers Mrs William Bell and Mrs Martin Huebner attended.
