Wakeman Men Spend Christmas in Korea Together

Wakeman friends Jack Burke and Tom Mockler, serving in Korea, spent Christmas Day together near the front with heavy snow delaying their return to camp. Burke’s parents, former Elyria residents Mr and Mrs John Burke, reported Mockler was about 15 miles away and joinered the celebration at Burke’s camp. The Christmas dinner, described by Burke in a letter, was one of the best, following church services near the front lines before the snow interruption.
