Norwalk City Income Tax Brings In 295391 In 1972
Norwalk collected 295391 from its 1.5 percent city income tax in 1972, up 24417 from 1971’s 270974. Withholding yielded 238108 and 57283 came from individual returns. 25 percent of revenue goes to capital improvements. Colvin urges strict filing compliance, warning court action for noncompliance and considering raising the 5 penalty.
