Prince of Wales faces new costs after Marlborough House move
London reports the Prince of Wales may seek new income to cover expenses if he relocates from York House to Marlborough House. Queen Alexandra’s death left Marlborough House assets, and the prince could ask Parliament for a larger Privy Purse or a larger Duchy of Cornwall income to finance social duties and possible marriage. The Duchy provides about 1.689 million annually, funding staff salaries and charities.
