William J. Lambert, 60, died after a beating outside his Birmingham home Sunday night. Erie County Sheriff John W. Parker said a Birmingham merchant admitted fighting Lambert, claiming Lambert paid attention to his wife. Lambert collapsed in a coma Monday and died Tuesday morning. he left a bruised, muddy body and a sign of a struggle near the garage. He was a widower and retired farmer, survived by brother Bert and sisters Mrs. William Lippus and Mrs. Ralph McDowell. Funeral at 2 p.m. at the residence, burial in Birmingham cemetery.
