Fugitive Cannon Arrested in Kent After Lorain Slaying Probe
Lorain man Cannon was captured by the U S Marshals Violent Fugitive Task Force on Anita Court in Kent. He is hospitalized with a gunshot wound believed from the Shore Drive homicide of 23 year old David Barbero and faces related charges while his mother and sister were later charged with obstruction of justice.

Elyria man dies after crash in Moore aftermath
A 58 year old Elyria man, James Feldscher of Emerson Court, died after a two vehicle crash at Lorain Boulevard and Foster Avenue. Feldscher, who rear ended a Dodge Nitro driven by Michael Bodiford, was flown to MetroHealth Medical Center where he died possibly of a pre existing condition. The coroner's office investigates the cause of death while police note Feldscher showed signs of alcohol at the scene.

Avon Lake parks chief forecasts continued growth in 2017
Avon Lake’s Parks and Recreation Department, led by Director Tim Pinchek since 2016 and coordinator Nicole Haas since 2015, reports 2016 expansion to 48 programs from 21 in 2015, with participation reaching 11,905 and new offerings accounting for about 3,403. Court worker takes Cleveland Housing Court post
