Libya declared state of war amid U S naval tensions
Libyan leader Muammar Khadafy warned Libya would respond to any U S attack with strikes inside America as he announced the country was on full military alert. He claimed the United States mobilized about 40 warships off Libya, a claim Pentagon officials disputed. Avon man faces murder charges over parents' stabbing

Lorain workers vote to strike if talks fail tonight

Cops storm Iowa prison frees seven officers
Five assault teams stormed the maximum security cellhouse at the Iowa State Penitentiary in Fort Madison and freed seven corrections officers who had been held hostage for about an hour and a half.
