Two LCCC trustees reappointed to five year terms

Lorain County Commissioners rename two board members to five year terms on the Lorain County Community College trustees. Mrs Ewing has served since January 1967 and Desich, named in August 1970 to fill a term, will serve until 1978. The nine member board includes six appointed by the county.

Lorain board opposes 4.16 percent tax rise

The Lorain County Board of Revision formally opposes an Ohio Board of Tax Appeals order that would raise real estate taxes by 4.16 percent for Lorain County homeowners. The board urges the state to adopt a 30 percent assessment level, citing higher tax values and loss of the 10 percent tax cut. Copies of the letter were sent to state lawmakers and Gov Giligan.
