Purchasing System To Be Explained In City Meeting
City department heads will hear a detailed presentation Monday at 1 30 p m in Council Chambers on a proposed new city purchasing system. Mayor Oscar G Dunn says the meeting will cover all aspects of the plan aimed at greater economy and faster accounting to link appropriations with spending. The plan requires department heads to approve purchases by requisition and buy on purchase orders with duplicates to keep the auditor informed daily.
