Teens undergo gastric bypass twins reshaping their lives
Sam and Charlie Fabrikant, fraternal twins from Buffalo Grove Illinois, were morbidly obese in their teens. Charlie had gastric bypass surgery first, losing about 130 pounds and easing health issues, with Sam following after a similar procedure. Sam faced complications, including a lung blood clot, but expects to regain school quickly. The Dallas area surgeon says teens with obesity-related ailments can be good candidates, though long term effects remain uncertain.
