LCCC basketball coach balks at two day trip veto
Lorain County Community College coach Vincent vents anger after Elyria High School teacher and part time college employee is denied two days off without pay to take the Commodores on a Chicago trip. Principal obstacle is assistant superintendent Swartz citing reasons of non personal, duty to schedule and prevent payroll forfeit. The team, 7-1, misses Dec 18-19 games vs Harper College and DuPage, plans to reschedule. Vincent faults College community ties and cites 200 area fans. Swartz maintains no special privilege. The Commodores travel remains postponed with next game set against Ohio Valley on January 9.
