Valley City Garden Club held a Christmas party and flower show with Grace Fitzpatrick as judge. First place and Best of Show went to Mrs. Carol Seeper for White Christmas. other class winners included Mary Ferguson Edna Heston Clara Steck Olva Crocker Dorothy Silk Jane Parfitt and Virginia Brackney. The meeting featured business by president Peggy Hammer and notes on hosting the Medina County meeting and charity corsages. More than 180 area children attended a Christmas party hosted by Valley City Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5963 and the Ladies Auxiliary. Medina County Bank donated the basement, Sidney Burton Sr. supplied popcorn, Buckeye High School provided a projector, and Santa distributed stockings. Kids enjoyed orange and grape punch.
