Federal water aid to California growers limited again
Federal officials said no water will be delivered this year to most Central Valley farmers without senior rights amid drought and record-low snowpack. The zero allocation could force fallowing and lower production, with relief only for Sacramento and San Joaquin valley holders receiving about 75 percent of their contracts totaling around 2.6 million acre-feet.
