Tomlin plans changes after tough season slide
Josh Tomlin reflects on a season marred by elbow pain and a late slump as hitters adjusted to his pitches. He seeks to throw more quality strikes on the first pitch and attack the strike zone to keep hitters from sitting on his fastball. He emphasizes control and variety, including a four seamer, two seamer, curve, change and cutter, and aims to go deeper into games despite bullpen limits.
