Maxi Amberville pursues fun with two overseas marriages to an Australian millionaire and a Scottish lord, while Lily's story shows a distant tempering with Cutter. The plots jump from Monte Carlo to Lincoln Center with sexual tension, power moves after World War II, and a large gap ending unfinished as a TV saga.

Krantz family behind successful miniseries fuels TV impact
The article credits Susan Krantz and husband Steve Krantz with shaping hit adaptations like Scruples Princess Daisy and Mistral's Daughter into strong miniseries. It notes Bostwick's return to form as Zachary and Kaczmarek's sex appeal, while King and Annis deliver strong performances.
