Tug's SOS triggers Coast Guard jet response off Louisiana coast
In the Gulf of Mexico early Monday the seven man crew of the tug Robin 14 faced sinking after taking on water. A Coast Guard HU25 jet from Mobile was sent at 1:15 a.m. CST after the distress call from St. Petersburg Florida. The crew later repaired a leak blamed on an insecure hatch cover and refloated the vessel as Morania and Irene Sapphire proceeded to assist.
