Ohio will require all police departments to gather race and gender data on people pulled over or taken aside for questioning. The standard, approved Feb. 17 by a Kasich-era police relations board, aims to increase bias-free policing and transparency, with full implementation in about a year across agencies big and small.

The Chronicle Telegram will raise single-copy prices by 25 cents starting Wednesday. Monday through Saturday copies in news boxes and stores will cost $1, while Sunday price is $1.75. Despite the hike, it remains the area’s cheapest daily paper.
