Lorain police arrest 20 in south side gang sweep

Lorain police cracked down on south side gangs Tuesday and Wednesday, arresting 20 people on charges from murder to drug trafficking. One suspect, 24-year-old Artis Taylor III, remains sought related to the operation. The sweep followed an October probe linked to a fatal brawl outside Luna Del Mar, where Eric Witcher died of a heart attack in a fight involving more than a dozen people. Suspects include Randy Atkinson, Jason Fowler, Billy Gilbert, Lantous Thorpe, and Cameron Seymore facing murder and related charges. Thorpe previously served three years for a 2005 Ely Square stabbing.
