Funeral services were held Feb. 11 for John Edward Rafter a former Grafton Township resident killed in the line of duty as a Rockingham County Va deputy sheriff Feb. 7. Rafter left a wide network of relatives including his wife Candy Diane and many siblings with burial in Eastland Memorial Gardens Harrisonburg Va. Memorials may be sent to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
Oberlin Clinic will give unemployed and poor residents up to 50 percent discounts on routine office calls.
