West River rezoning bid rejected over traffic concerns
Elyria city council's community development committee rejected a proposal to rezone a West River Road and Kennedy Memorial Parkway parcel from single family to B-3 and B-4 for a gas station and small businesses citing current traffic bottlenecks. The panel also recommended Shell Oil Co. rezoning for two stations to allow expansions, while denying a Meckler request for 12 apartments due to lot size and access limits.
