Elyria YWCA offers six week babysitting class for girls
The Elyria YWCA runs a six week baby sitting course teaching diapering safety tips and mothering tricks. Girls earn a certificate and join the babysitters list while a few boys express interest though enrollment remains female dominated. Graduation includes a badge and pay averages about one dollar per hour with teen roles limited by working papers. The next class begins April 22 at 7 p.m. with a $13.50 member fee.
