Two-Car Crash in Elyria Injures Three at Lake and Furnace
A head-on collision at Lake Avenue and Furnace Street in Elyria sent three people to area hospitals. Two were transported by LifeCare Ambulance and one by Sheffield Township. No condition updates were available Monday evening.

Chemistry professor blends magic and science for kids show
Regan Silvestri a chemistry professor at Lorain County Community College Wellington Center led a Magical Science show with volunteers from Carlisle Township including Jacob and Joshua. Experiments included flame and color changing tubes as students lit a neon bulb and created elephant toothpaste. Silvestri noted science explains the tricks and has performed this program for years at schools and events including Guardians STEM day.

Avon adjusts Detroit Road speed limits with exceptions
A study by the Ohio Department of Transportation led Avon to set varied speeds along Detroit Road. 45 mph from west of Avon High School to Sheffield. 40 mph from Westlake city line to Middleton Drive. 35 mph from Middleton Drive to west of Avon High School.
