Elyria 1st Ward volunteers pack meals for shelters
Residents in Elyria's 1st Ward packed and delivered more than 300 takeout meal boxes to Haven Center Neighborhood Alliance Bridge Pointe Commons Riverview Plaza and a warming center. The effort, led by Councilman Andrew Lipian and the Good Neighbors Initiative, supported by local churches and groups, aimed to help low income and homeless residents amid bad weather. Volunteers fried eggs and bacon and arranged biscuits in Emman uel Lutheran Church basement and delivered boxes across five sites.
