Free clinics grow as uninsured seek care in Schenectady
Schenectady Free Clinic, born in a two room space a year ago, expanded to six exam rooms with a small pharmacy. Director William Spolyar says clinics reduce ER visits while volunteers donate services, helping patients who earn too much for aid yet lack insurance.
