Accident on Route 254 injures Dearborn woman

Two Children Die In Toledo Fire

A Toledo house fire caused by an overheated coal stove killed two children, Victor Watson II and Donna Jean Watson, aged 8 and 4, while their parents Emmet and his wife were among five hospitalized with burns. The blaze destroyed the family home.

Eleven of 15 men pass preinduction exams

Eleven of the 15 men sent to Cleveland last week for preinduction physicals passed their exams. Eight of the twelve men registered with Board No 72 passed and four were rejected. All three transferees to the board passed.

Exam Scheduled For Fire Department Promotion

George Robson of the Civil Service Commission announced an examination for promotion to lieutenant in the Elsia Fire Department. The exam will be March 9 at 7 am in room 107 at Eryria High School. Ohioan George Hummel Dies at 107 in Cambridge

Cambridge reports George Hummel aged 107, possibly Ohio’s oldest resident, died Monday on his Fairview area farm. He will be buried tomorrow in St Clairsville after trips to Canton and Newark to visit relatives.
