Veterans War Risk Insurance Extended For Ten Months
Elyria World War veterans may convert their war risk insurance to regular government insurance any time before July 3 1926. Colonel F M Fanning of the Veterans Bureau in Cleveland explains the act extends five years from peace proclaimation which was July 2 1921 after Harding treaties. Veterans may convert without a medical exam by applying to the Veterans Bureau or Treasury's Bureau of War Risk Insurance in Washington.

Reinstatement Options For Veterans Insurance Up To July 2 1926
Veterans may reinstate after lapse to receive new Insurance benefits by applying by July 2 1926 undergoing medical exam and paying back premiums. No policy above the war risk insurance amount will be issued. They may buy insurance up to that amount or in multiples of 500 but not below 1000. New policies include cash surrender value and loan privileges up to 94 percent. Six policy types are issued.
Smallpox Quarantine Affects Local Grange Meeting
In Columbia Missouri on February 17 officers of the Perent Teachers Association met in Elyria. Mr. and Mrs. Taylor and grandson Arthur head to Youngstown for marble work. Three Columbia homes face smallpox quarantine. No Grange next Tuesday. new members to be installed a week later. Hiram Doolittle of Beebetown present.
