Elyria weighs Moen building remodel to house vehicle fleet
City calculations compare buying and remodeling the Moon building for 51 000 square feet at an estimated 1.6 million to upgrade with a new roof floor drain ramp and electrical system versus purchasing a new 51 000 square foot building at about 5.0 million. Savings hinge on vehicle life extension from indoor storage and potential cost offsets.
