World Bank President Robert Zoellick warns that rising global food prices have reached dangerous levels risking political instability and higher poverty. The bank notes a 29 percent year rise and prices near the 2008 peak, with 44 million more people in extreme poverty since June due to corn wheat and oil costs.
Cedar Fair, based in Sandusky, reported 22.8 million guests across 11 parks and six hotels in 2010, up 7.8 percent from 2009, aided by better weather and higher season pass sales. The firm posted fourth quarter revenue of 130 million but a year loss of 31.6 million, with annual revenue at 977.6 million.
