Vote holds up ruling on funding

Perry County Judge Linton D. Lewis Jr will wait for voters to decide the states new school funding plan. If the plan reaches the ballot the judge will rule after the vote. The House approved a penny per dollar sales tax increase for May 5 and the Senate plans to vote on placing it on the ballot. The Ohio Supreme Court previously upheld Lewis ruling that the funding system was unconstitutional and set a March 24 deadline for a new plan.
