Test of Fast Writing Rate By Five Girls
A letter from five twelve year old girls asks what constitutes a reasonable handwriting speed and how to measure it. The teacher responds with guidance on determining writing rate by timing a legible sample and calculating words per minute.
Writing pace practice and daily improvement tips
The piece suggests practicing daily to increase writing speed. It instructs to memorize material, avoid looking at copy, and calculate words per minute by dividing total words by minutes spent. It offers a target rate of 60 to 70 words per minute with gradual practice toward that goal.
