Elyria Woman Injured In Car Collision

Miss Bessie Mackwell, 24, of 404 High Street, suffered a chin laceration and burns when she rode in a car driven by Keith H. Kernion, 20, of Murray Ridge Road, which collided with two other vehicles on Route 83 west of Elyria. Kernion’s car skidded on ice, striking a car driven by Alfred W. Schultz of Cleveland and then hitting a third car driven by Nasil Pawlkowis, 18, of 12 Garvin Avenue, causing extensive damage. An unidentified driver, Albert Boramer, 18, of 04 Aca Street, reported to deputies that a crash near Rest yesterday did not stop. Other incidents include a collision on West River Street near Hazel Street injuring or damaging several parties and a separate incident on Third Street near East Avenue with damaged fenders and vehicles. Deputy reports note skid marks from icy conditions and multiple unreported hit-and-run concerns.
