Zaremba Inc will develop HarborWalk on the Black River in Lorain in three phases creating 420 homes valued at about 126 million. The HarborWalk Community Center will expand to include a 3800 square foot restaurant a 4800 square foot banquet hall and a meeting room all to be public. The Wagon Wheel restaurant will relocate upstairs and may close seasonally. A 1500 square foot fitness center and locker facilities are planned for the first floor with non resident access undecided.
Lorain County Commissioners approve a First Step Alliance contract to collect reusable appliances and furniture at 52 weeks a year with a $15 base fee and $10 per gas-disconnect, plus a tire collection via Liberty Tire Services. The program funds 50 percent of reusable items to local families and faces one bid, with EPA ties and prior pickup limits noted.
