From Klansman to Chaplain at a Black Church in Millville
Jason Nark profiles Joe Bednarsky Jr. a former Klan leader who, after decades of hate and violence, found purpose as Bethel A.M.E. Church security chief and neighbor to Pastor Charles Wilkins Sr. The piece traces his path from white supremacist to protector, his past crimes, the therapy of forgiveness, and the uneasy trust he earns among parishioners while facing ongoing threats and scrutiny.
