Sheriff investigates alleged sexual assault at Lorain County Detention Home
In Elyria, the Lorain County Sheriff's Office probes a possible sexual assault at the Lorain County Detention Home. A 16 year old inmate told his parents on Monday that he was assaulted by another male inmate in June. Deputies were informed after a parent visit. The case is active with Captain John Reiber noting the youth feared reporting at the time. The last similar complaint to state authorities occurred within the past few months.
