Lack of experience derailed Wesley Clark campaign
Retired Gen Wesley Clark once seen as Bush challenger appears to have abandoned his bid. His inexperience on the campaign trail showed from the start with mixed stances on Iraq authorisation and gaffes that undermined his candidacy as Dean rose and Kerry consolidates support. Clark had won Oklahoma but faced fading momentum leading to withdrawal discussions.
