Clark elected president of United Way board in Lorain County

Louisiana grand jury eyed over insurance sting in New Orleans
NEW ORLEANS UPI Two failed gubernatorial candidates who denied kickback ties to FBI sting posing as Prudential agents expected to testify this week before a federal grand jury. More than a dozen state officials including Gov. Edwin Edwards and Lt. Gov. James Fitzmorris were subpoenaed to appear, with Lambert and Fitzmorris denying payments. Edwards slated to testify in New Orleans as Carlos Marcello, named in the operation, was reportedly a target but unavailable for comment. Additional subpoenas reached Lt. Gov-elect Bobby Freeman and several lawmakers and state officials.
