Officers of the Lorain County Public Health Council were reelected at the annual meeting held at the Savings and Trust building. Dr. W. S. Baldwin of Lorain was named president, J. N. Stone of Oberlin vice president, and H. K. E. Birch of Elyria treasurer. Four directors were elected: J. J. Smythe Amherst A. L. Werner Elyria Rev. C. W. Recard Wellington and Carl Robinson Lorain.

One Man Fined One Arrested On Liquor Charges
Slave Ujheleyi of 1612 Hast Sth street Lorain was fined 400 dollars and costs for possession of liquor by Justice Walter H. Watts this morning. Ujheleyi was arrested earlier by State Agent George Raynham after a raid on the defendant's soft drink place. Joe Byers of 200 Broadway Lorain was placed under 800 dollar bond after pleading not guilty to a possession charge by Raynham in the Court of Justice S. J. George this morning. Byers was arrested by State Agents Raynham and O P Davis last night and faces trial Friday.

RUM RUNNERS AND LIQUOR SEIZED IN TWO ARRESTS
A New York customs operation led to the capture of 25 rum runners and 1,000 cases of high grade liquor valued at about 100000, along with three motor trucks. County health office seeks funds to expand facilities
Dr C D Barrett county health commissioner asked commissioners to provide 600 annually to expand the Oberlin headquarters of the County Health Department. He said a $5,000 yearly grant from the Commonwealth Fund, contingent on larger facilities, could advance a five year program including a full time assistant health commissioner and student training with Western Reserve University.
